Playbooks

CrownPeak playbooks provide overview and guidance for implementing features in your instance. These playbooks provide a detail set of instructions to implement a feature offering in the CMS platform. Each playbook will address topics such as: Feature Overviews, Feature Benefits, Implementation Guidelines, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

SMTP Imports are similar to FTP imports, but the data enters the CMS via SMTP instead of being picked up by the server. The data can be sent in the body (ASCII data - TXT, XML, CSV, etc.) of the email, or as an attachment (Binary files - Image, Video, PDF, etc.). SMTP Import is preferred for small jobs where the CMS might need to receive at most a few updates an hour. The process involves an email being sent to the CMS with an email import key and the data can either be in the body of the email or in an attachment.
